If you just stumbled upon my blog well let me introduce myself...... Come join me with your favorite virtual beverage and lets pretend we are in small group and you are sitting in kitchen table where we can have a coffee date free of distractions! We can dream can't we? If you were here I could make you a mean Iced Tea, Mocha or Latte.
Basically I am a deeply flawed sinner saved only by the Amazing and Abundant grace of God. Basically this defines me as a very IMPERFECT Christian woman who, only by the grace of God, is able to be a momma of 3 teens. Without & before Jesus, I was a pretty extreme femi-natzi who is naturally bent to be an anal, control freak, type A personality! Through the gentle guidance of the Lord I am learning moment by moment, situation by situation, how small I really am, how little control I really can handle and how much I mess things up when God is not able to take over! My wonderful hubby and I have been married for almost 20 years. He has proven over and over again to be a loving husband and father as well as faithful provider to the our family. He has literally supported me through true sickness and health when any other man would have weakened under this kind of weight! You see, I have epilepsy, but have chosen to embrace this 'thorn in my side' because it is what keeps me very close to the Lord. Ordinarily, I can be a VERY independent person, so having this disability MAKES be more bent toward Trusting in, Relying upon, and CLINGING to Him daily! Hubby and I have survived brain surgery, a cross country move, five years of fostering children that were not our own and currently parenting 3 teenagers. This blog is my journey through SOAP-ing the word.
